While thinking about road trips, the first thing that pops up in your mind is the caravan so we brought you our T2 1979 Volkswagen.

The T2 was manufactured in Hannover, Germany from 1979 until 1991. Production of the Syncro (mostly for official use, like postal service or the German army) continued until 1992 at Puch in Graz, Austria, where all 4WDs were built.

A limited number of 2WD models were also produced at the Graz factory after German production had come to an end. South African production of the T2 continued, for that market only, until 2002.

Following and initially deriving from - Volkswagen's first model, the Type 1 (Beetle), it was given the factory designation Type 2.

Brazil contained the last factory in the world that produced the T2 series of Type 2, which ceased production on 31 December 2013, due to the introduction of more stringent safety regulations in the country.

This marked the end of the era of rear-engine Volkswagens, which originated in 1935 with their type 1 prototypes.
